Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve food and beverage items to guests in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Attend all designated pre-event meetings to ensure a smooth and efficient service.
  • Understand and execute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs), including room diagrams.
  • Gather and coordinate all necessary equipment for banquet events.
  • Perform all service standards to maintain a safe and efficient hotel operation.
  • Attend to the needs of guests during functions and function-related duties.
  • Report any housekeeping or repair needs to the Banquet Captain and/or Banquet Manager.
  • Maintain regular attendance and adhere to hotel standards.
  • Adhere to high standards of personal appearance and grooming.
  • Follow all money handling procedures when serving guests.
  • Prepare rooms according to BEOs and meal functions.
  • Clean up banquet spaces after events and ensure equipment and supplies are stored properly.
  • Maintain the banquet storeroom in a neat and orderly manner.
  • Respond to guest problems, complaints, and accidents, and communicate with management as necessary.
Requirements:
  • 3 to 6 months of relevant experience in a hotel or related field preferred.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to effectively present information to customers, clients, and other employees.
  • Ability to interpret and perform basic math functions.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.
