Job Description

SciTec is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team in Boulder, CO.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, with experience in designing and deploying functional networks (LAN, WLAN, WAN) as a member of product teams and corporate infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities will include configuring and installing software, servers, routers, and other network devices, monitoring key network indicators, and resolving issues escalated by lower service desk tiers.

The successful candidate will also have experience with network security principles, including monitoring, hardening, threat models, common vulnerabilities, and access control models.

Additionally, the candidate will have in-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), as well as experience working with and troubleshooting OSI network layers for TCP/IP networks.

Other requirements include proficiency with network security tools, experience with network diagnostic, monitoring and analysis tools, and strong understanding of network operating systems (JUNOS, Cisco IOS).

Preferred qualifications include at least 1 year of ongoing professional experience with Dell switches, servers and SAN, as well as experience with network-attached storage (NAS) and/or Storage Area Network (SAN) configuration and maintenance.

SciTec offers a highly competitive salary and benefits package, including employee stock ownership plan, 3% fully vested company 401K contribution, and 100% company paid HSA medical insurance.

The pay range for this position is $125,000- $166,000 / year.
