Job Title: Parts Manager

At Penn Power Group, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Parts Manager to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for managing our inventory, ensuring timely delivery of parts to our technicians, and driving sales growth through effective pricing and promotion strategies.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Forecast and manage monthly and annual parts sales, expenses, and net profit goals in collaboration with Branch Management.
  • Pricing of planned fleet maintenance parts to optimize sales and profitability.
  • Project inventory levels and mix, identifying variances and implementing corrections to minimize obsolescence and support sales forecast.
  • Meet Company Parts First Fill goal by ensuring timely delivery of parts to our technicians.
  • Proactively manage an efficient parts delivery network to drive customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable company requirements and guidelines.
  • Promote interdepartmental and factory relationships while supporting corporate goals and initiatives.
  • Promote inventory sharing and collaboration with other departments.
  • Develop and maintain a dynamic knowledge of our inventory management system, LINQ, and lead the Parts Department in its engagement and usage with Service employees.
  • Support the growth and development of Parts employees to be proficient in Commercial Vehicle Parts sales.
  • Direct and motivate a parts counter staff to achieve and exceed sales performance goals.
  • Oversee merchandising and displays to drive sales and customer engagement.
  • Manage responsibilities related to annual physical inventory and cycle counting.
Requirements:
  • A minimum High School diploma required.
  • Two year associates management degree or equivalent/years of experience.
  • Four year Business Management degree is a plus.
  • Excellent product knowledge, administrative skills, and inventory management experience are essential.
  • Demonstrable customer service skills, including three years previous parts department experience, with both inside and outside parts selling.
  • Minimum three years of experience working in a supervisory capacity in the parts/sales department in heavy duty diesel branch service operation.
