Job Title: ACLS Instructor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled ACLS Instructor to join our team at Winchester Hospital. As an ACLS Instructor, you will be responsible for instructing healthcare professionals in ACLS standards and expectations, as well as teaching courses using required materials and maintaining equipment and student ratios.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Instruct healthcare professionals in ACLS standards and expectations
  • Teach courses using required materials and maintaining equipment and student ratios
  • Recognize class participant's learning needs and incorporate into training
  • Complete and sign all paperwork required with each course
  • Teach a minimum of six classes annually
  • Serve as an expert in ACLS skills
  • Evaluate and assess classes for purpose of performance improvement of class content and instructor qualifications
  • Keep abreast of AHA standards, certification for instruction by the AHA and adult learning practices
  • Attend instructor-training update programs as required by the AHA
  • Maintain current status as ACLS and BLS provider and instructor

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Licensed Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor and provider status required
  • Preferred: Bachelor's Degree and at least one year ACLS and health education teaching experience
