Position Overview:
Under the guidance of the Outpatient Pharmacy Operations Manager or Outpatient Pharmacy Director, this role is pivotal in overseeing all facets of pharmacy services at designated outpatient locations. The position ensures adherence to Federal and State regulations, as well as compliance with internal policies and procedures. Responsible for the daily management of assigned areas, this role also provides leadership to the Outpatient Pharmacy Supervisor - Hourly, pharmacists, and support staff.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the Outpatient Pharmacy Operations Manager or Outpatient Pharmacy Director in formulating and executing strategic pharmacy initiatives.
  • Oversee pharmacy services and activities, including medication distribution, educational programs, clinical pharmacist functions, business growth, performance metrics, regulatory adherence, staff development, and team collaboration.
  • Manage personnel and operational practices to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations, as well as organizational policies.
  • Collaborate with inpatient pharmacy management and medical departments to ensure continuity of care and compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Conduct personnel management tasks such as recruitment, training, performance evaluations, and scheduling. Ensure compliance with HR policies and manage employee relations.
  • Assist in the development of the departmental budget and work with finance to achieve financial performance targets.
  • Engage in the design, implementation, and assessment of systems and processes aimed at enhancing service quality and cost efficiency.
  • Accountable for all service metrics within the department.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and department leaders to enhance quality management initiatives.
  • Address service-related concerns from health plan members and other stakeholders.
  • Implement organizational and departmental policies consistently.
  • Perform duties of subordinate staff as necessary and undertake additional responsibilities as required.
