Job Description

Job Title: Material Handler I - 1St Shift

Duration: 6 Months

Shift: First Shift 7:00am - 3:30 pm M-F

Pay Rate: $22.50/Hourly

Position Overview

We are seeking dedicated, reliable, and industrious team members who will contribute positively to our operations and support our customers and colleagues daily. Your role will be crucial in ensuring that essential products are delivered, facilitating advancements in various fields.

Key Responsibilities

  • Retrieve materials from the inventory for production orders and accurately document these transactions in our ERP system.
  • Ensure timely selection and labeling of products for customer orders, coordinating with the logistics team to address any potential delays.
  • Conduct internal logistics activities to maintain inventory levels for production, including transporting and replenishing materials as necessary.
  • Manage materials on production carts and restock Kan Ban bins as required.
  • Utilize Kan Ban cards to initiate replenishment orders for the purchasing department during material selection.
  • Participate in daily inventory counts, reporting findings to the Finance Team regularly.

Qualifications

Education

High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Experience

  • 1-2 years of experience in a warehouse or inventory management role within a manufacturing context is preferred.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems is advantageous.
  • Experience with tools such as Smartsheet and Salesforce is a plus.
  • Proficiency in using computers and scanning devices is preferred.

Skills and Abilities

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively share information with team members and internal departments.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess and resolve issues as they arise.
  • Capability to stand and navigate the warehouse for extended periods, involving physical activities such as walking, bending, and reaching.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accuracy in all tasks.
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work independently and address challenges promptly.
  • Proficiency in reading and writing in English.
