Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric and Internal Medicine Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic medical office in Queens, NY.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients.
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic illnesses in children.
  • Administer vaccinations and perform routine health screenings.
  • Provide education and counseling to patients and their families regarding health maintenance, disease prevention, and treatment options.
  • Document patient medical histories, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in medical records.
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
  • Assist in minor surgical procedures such as suturing when necessary.
  • Monitor patients' progress in both outpatient and inpatient settings, including ICU if required.
  • Stay current with advancements in pediatric medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Master's degree in Nursing with a specialization as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner.
  • Valid New York state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with certification in pediatrics and internal medicine.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish is a must).
  • Strong knowledge of anatomy, behavioral health, memory care, and basic life support techniques.
  • Experience administering injections and performing medical documentation effectively.
  • Familiarity with medical office procedures and protocols.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with children and their families.
