Job Description

We are seeking a skilled ICU Veterinary Technician to join our team at the NC State University Veterinary Hospital.

Job Summary

The ICU Veterinary Technician will provide advanced care for patients in our Intensive Care Unit, working closely with our team of veterinarians and veterinary technicians to ensure the highest level of care for our patients.

Responsibilities

* Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, taking vital signs, and performing procedures as needed
* Work closely with veterinarians and veterinary technicians to develop and implement patient care plans
* Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes or concerns to the veterinarian on duty
* Assist with anesthesia and sedation of patients as needed
* Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient care and treatment

Requirements

* Completion of an accredited veterinary technology program
* Current licensure as a veterinary technician in North Carolina
* Previous experience in an ICU or critical care setting preferred
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
