Job Summary

The MRI Technologist III operates magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality images of the body for diagnostic purposes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performs procedures as ordered and obtains images according to written protocols.
  • Positions patients' appropriately using immobilization and protective equipment as directed by the provider.
  • Reviews, manipulates, and evaluates images to deliver high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Administers IV contrast with proper dosage according to department policy.
  • Documents quality control on equipment according to manufacture guidelines or department protocols.
Requirements
  • Completion of JCERT approved school of Radiology Technology or ACR approved training course.
  • Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in MRI or MRI certification eligible.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, course accredited by the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
