Job Overview
The Room Attendant collaborates with the Housekeeping Management Team to maintain cleanliness in guest accommodations and public areas, ensuring adherence to brand standards for guest satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Uphold the principles of Sonesta Service in all guest interactions, addressing complaints and special requests to guarantee complete satisfaction.
- Execute cleaning and maintenance of assigned rooms or areas, following established protocols, which include making beds, dusting, vacuuming, sanitizing bathrooms, and removing waste.
- Potentially responsible for cleaning kitchen areas, including appliances and dishware.
- Inform the supervisor upon completion of cleaning tasks to facilitate room availability for guests. Report any rooms that cannot be serviced according to established guidelines.
- When assigned to laundry duties, oversee laundry supplies and equipment to ensure they are operational. Follow hotel standards and manufacturer instructions when operating washers and dryers. Inspect soiled linens for damage or stains, and properly fold and store clean linens, reporting any damages to the supervisor.
- Strive to minimize waste of supplies and amenities in all housekeeping areas.
- Occasionally assist with deep cleaning initiatives.
- Report necessary repairs or unsafe conditions to the supervisor.
- Manage lost and found items according to established protocols.
- Foster teamwork and quality service through effective communication and coordination with other shifts and departmental management.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Previous experience in housekeeping is preferred.
- Experience in the extended stay industry is advantageous.
- Proficiency in English is preferred; knowledge of additional languages is a plus.
- Basic skills in reading, writing, and mathematics are preferred.
- Physical requirements include frequent standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and moving throughout the facility.
- Ability to lift, carry, or pull items weighing up to 75 pounds.
- Regular use of commercial cleaning chemicals is required.
- Availability to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays is necessary.

Compensation:
The anticipated pay range is between $17.25 and $17.50 per hour, subject to variation based on job-related knowledge, skills, and overall experience.
