In this position, you will join a dynamic team of skilled engineers dedicated to embedding safety into Electric Vehicle Battery Systems across various divisions. Your role will involve a global perspective, requiring collaboration with a diverse, cross-functional team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize Systems Engineering methodologies to ensure that Intelliswift's battery systems are designed with quality in mind, translating high-level safety concepts into specific, actionable attributes for individual components.
- Conduct thorough analyses of component variability to guarantee robust system designs applicable to all scenarios.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation related to product safety, including Failure Mode and Effects Analyses (FMEAs), Fault Tree Analyses (FTAs), and third-party certifications.
- Act as a subject matter expert in battery and electrical safety, offering guidance on best practices for design, handling, usage, maintenance, and recycling of battery systems.
- Research and monitor existing and upcoming regulatory and safety standards to ensure compliance of Intelliswift's battery products globally.
- Contribute to the establishment and refinement of corporate standards regarding battery and high voltage safety.
- Collaborate across various divisions to reach consensus on practical best practices relevant to heavy-duty vehicles and manufacturing processes.
- Provide Safety Systems Engineering services in a matrixed organization, supporting multiple projects that develop innovative technologies.
- Enhance Intelliswift's return on investment by creating scalable concepts that can be adapted to meet the specialized needs of different vehicles and market segments.
- Ensure seamless integration of systems within the supply chain by delivering timely and precise information to engineering, logistics, manufacturing, sales, and service teams.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required; a Master's degree is preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in applying safety concepts to high-power electrical systems.
- 3-5 years of experience in the automotive sector.
- 1-3 years of experience implementing Systems Engineering principles and designing large battery systems.
- Strong knowledge of Product Development, Electrical Systems, Electrical Safety, Functional Safety, and Embedded Systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with proficiency in Mandarin being highly desirable.
- A proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment while managing multiple priorities.
