Job Summary

PACCAR is seeking a skilled Thermal Engineer to join our Zero Emissions Powertrain department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing high-voltage thermal systems for battery electric and hydrogen fuel cell electric vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop thermal management systems for battery packs.
  • Evaluate and assess various thermal management technologies to guide system design and optimization.
  • Work closely with purchasing and quality teams to identify and qualify suppliers.
  • Utilize standardized phase/gate product creation processes to deliver high-quality engineering designs.
  • Provide thermal engineering analysis and designs to support the expansion of EV applications into new market segments.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related technical field.
  • 3-5 years of related work experience in automotive applications.
  • Demonstrated technical knowledge and working experience in high-voltage battery thermal systems and supplier management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
