Outreach Development is on the lookout for a passionate and dedicated Music Educator to join our team in the Adolescent Residential program. This role is designed for individuals who thrive in a dynamic and engaging environment, focusing on the musical development of our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Music Educator, you will:
1. Facilitate structured and supervised music-related recreational activities for residents.
2. Develop and organize lesson plans tailored to the specific needs of each resident.
3. Source and prepare appropriate teaching materials and resources.
4. Instruct residents in music theory, aural skills, and practical performance techniques.
5. Inspire and motivate residents, fostering their musical growth and progress.
6. Maintain open communication with program management by evaluating residents' abilities and providing necessary feedback and documentation.
7. Ensure the proper maintenance and security of all musical instruments and equipment.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proficiency in playing one or more musical instruments.
- Experience or training in music therapy.
- A background in music instruction.
- Experience working with adolescents is preferred.
