Role Duration: This is a temporary position with a commitment of 26 to 52 weeks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys and map locations of invasive plant species.
  • Implement integrated pest management strategies, including mechanical removal and herbicide application.
  • Monitor treatment effectiveness and assess the need for follow-up actions.
  • Assist in the restoration of native plant communities through planting and seed dispersal.
  • Engage in data collection and entry related to project activities.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess or be pursuing a bachelor's degree in a natural resource discipline, with a background in botany, either through fieldwork or academic coursework. This position requires physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Compensation:

The position offers a living allowance to support food and incidental expenses, along with a housing stipend.

Additional Information:

Members must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and are required to undergo a federal background check. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are necessary for this role.
