Director of Franchise Operations

An integral member of the operations team, reporting directly to the Senior VP of Operations, who collaborates with senior and department leaders in operations, training, and strategic operations to ensure the brand strategy is supported and executed with tactics and analysis that meet the strategic plan timeline.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage complex projects with varying degrees of definition and risk
  • Support and/or lead various projects and programs, managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Provide periodic updates to senior leadership on the status of strategic plans and make recommendations for adjustments to ensure strategic plan objectives are met
  • Possess strong multi-tasking capabilities
  • Support cross-functional initiatives from inception to implementation and ongoing product management when necessary
  • Participate in developing project strategies, success criteria, plans, budgets, risk, quality standards, and timelines with cross-functional resources
  • Participate in the development and execution of testing and implementation plans for multi-year corporate initiatives

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Operations support on emerging concepts and other strategic initiatives, keeping the impact on Operations front and center for every recommended course of action
  • Define the path to resolution, coordinate, and integrate efforts across multiple projects
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams of subject matter experts, identify resources required to meet the needs of the initiative, and gain alignment from senior leaders on resource commitment
  • Drive results through others by influencing, gaining alignment, and effectively facilitating cross-functional activities
  • Independently determine project risks and issues, identify options, and recommended solutions – elevate as necessary to drive results in a timely manner
  • Frequently interact with franchisees and company leadership to gain alignment, develop and present win-win business solutions, create and present professional-level updates, and develop cost/benefit models and conduct financial analysis to identify alternative business courses of action

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience
  • Minimum 5 years of Project Management experience
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant industry P&L, industry, and emerging technologies that drive restaurant operations simplification
  • Multi-unit restaurant/food industry experience preferred
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint. MS Project proficiency a plus
