Job Summary

Stellantis Financial Services is seeking a highly skilled Service Operations Manager to lead our specialized service team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing leadership, creating and implementing processes to improve business performance, and ensuring compliance with corporate policies and federal regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with various departments to automate company processes and improve efficiency.
  • Work closely with the Compliance Department to respond to audit requests and ensure compliance with CFPB, state, and local regulations.
  • Develop and implement strategies, workflow processes, and process management for relevant areas, including monitoring, tracking, and reporting.
  • Conduct regular meetings with team members to set long-term and short-term departmental objectives and goals.
  • Provide one-on-one training to new hires and assist administrators/representatives with escalated issues and daily work distribution.
  • Interact daily with Specialized Service, Repossession, and Reinstatement representatives, as well as other departments and customers, to resolve escalated issues.
  • Assist Management in developing and implementing reporting mechanisms to keep senior management informed of performance levels, trends, and workloads.
  • Ensure team performance objectives are met, comply with corporate policy, and uphold federal and state regulations.
  • Manage the assignment of accounts for Repossession, Reinstatement, Voluntary Surrender, Invoicing, and other specialized service process functions.
  • Oversee reviews, updates, and follow-ups with other Default service functions and the Compliance department as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state laws, including the right to cure, strict compliance letters, soldiers and sailors credit protection, and bankruptcy protection requirements.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Auto Repossession, Collection, or Remarketing.
  • Minimum 1 year of team lead/supervisor experience.
  • High School diploma and/or GED.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word software.
  • Knowledge of and compliance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act and local, state, and federal collection laws.
Leadership and Supervisory Skills
  • Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning and assigning work, directing work, appraising employee performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints, and resolving problems.
