About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Logistics Operations Specialist to join our team at CEVA Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of goods within our warehouse and yard operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external customers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods.
- Manage the loading and unloading of freight, verifying the count and condition of cargo received and recording receipts to appropriate forms and/or log books.
- Sort and store cargo received by account or intended location, accurately labeling freight to destination.
- Shuttle empty and full trailers within the dock area and parking lots, transporting freight from storage dock areas or trailers to designated locations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, cleaning out trailers as needed prior to moving them.
- Perform post or pre-load inspections on trailers, documenting the condition of equipment and trailers before re-use or reloading.
- Verify and report any damages discovered during inspections.
Requirements:
- High School Graduate or GED required; minimum 3 years industry driving experience may be substituted for a high school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 6 months related experience required.
- Valid state-issued Class C Driver's License issued by the driver's home state of residence.
- Acceptable driving record as defined by DOT regulations, TSA regulations, and Company policy.
- Forklift Driver Certification.
- DOT Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials Certification.
