Position Overview:

The Allina Health Cancer Institute is seeking a qualified breast surgeon or surgical oncologist dedicated to providing exceptional breast care. This role is based at the Piper Breast Center, which is equipped with advanced facilities and a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with patients to enhance their health outcomes and overall well-being.
  • Practice with a focus on cultural sensitivity, individual rights, and legal obligations.
  • Participate actively in a multidisciplinary team for comprehensive case management.
  • Contribute to peer review processes and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Employ quality improvement methodologies to enhance patient care delivery and outcomes.

Essential Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent international medical training.
  • Board certification in general surgery is mandatory.
  • Completion of a breast surgery fellowship or surgical oncology fellowship is required.
  • Eligibility for board certification with ABMS or AOA.
  • Possession of an active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota or the ability to obtain one.
  • Capability to secure and maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Meet the criteria for credentialing and hospital privileges.
  • BLS certification is required within 180 days of employment.
