We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our Cybersecurity Defensive Cyber Operations team. You will tackle complex challenges and devise innovative solutions while operating with significant autonomy. Mentorship and supervision of team members in both technical and operational competencies will be a key aspect of your responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor network activity for security incidents using advanced cybersecurity tools.
- Analyze security alerts to identify and counteract potential cyber threats.
- Conduct real-time investigations of incidents and prepare comprehensive response reports.
- Assess risks and implement defensive strategies against cyber-attacks.
- Perform event correlation from various sources to enhance situational awareness.
- Stay informed on the latest cyber threat landscape and conduct threat intelligence analysis.
- Promote best practices for information security throughout the organization.
- Conduct periodic risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant policies.
- Collaborate with cyber defense teams to validate alerts and coordinate responses.
- Provide regular reports summarizing network events and activities.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in a Security Operations Center, incident response, or related role.
- At least 1 year of experience in cloud environments.
- Proven experience in reviewing compliance with DoD policies.
- Experience in managing or leading a small team.
- Possession of TS/SCI clearance.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- Relevant IAM Level II certification (e.g., CAP, CASP+ CE, CISM, CISSP).
Skills Required:
- Expertise in cybersecurity practices and incident response.
- Proficiency with security tools such as firewalls, SIEMs, and intrusion detection systems.
- Strong analytical skills for threat assessment and risk management.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams to enhance cybersecurity posture.
