**Fuel Delivery Driver

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fuel Delivery Driver to join our team at Arctic Slope Regional Corporation in Kodiak, AK. As a Fuel Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering fuel to residential, commercial, and marine accounts by truck, while ensuring the safe transportation of petroleum products.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver Fuel and Propane: Safely transport and deliver fuel and propane to residential, commercial, and marine accounts by truck.
- Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures for transporting petroleum products.
- Perform Light Maintenance: Perform routine light maintenance on equipment as needed to ensure optimal performance.
- Ensure Vehicle Documentation: Verify that all vehicle documentation is current and accurate.
- Cross-Functional Training: Participate in cross-functional training to develop skills in various duties within the terminal and on the dock.
- Pre- and Post-Trip Inspections: Conduct pre- and post-trip DOT inspections on vehicles to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order.
- Collect Payment and Verify Documentation: Obtain receipts or signatures for delivered goods and collect payment for services when required.
- Check Load-Related Documentation: Verify that all load-related documentation is complete and accurate.
- Maneuver Trucks: Safely maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions and ensure vehicle and loading equipment are properly positioned.
- Drive Safely: Drive trucks to transport and deliver products or other materials safely.
- Secure Cargo: Properly secure cargo for transport using ropes, blocks, chains, binders, or covers.
- Read Bills of Lading and Work Orders: Read bills of lading and work orders to determine assignment details.
- Report Vehicle Defects and Accidents: Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles.
- Assist Customers: Occasionally assist customers with various needs such as fuel, lube, filters, and miscellaneous products.
- Participate in Training and Drills: Participate in all required training and drills.
- Participate in Emergency Response: Participate in emergency oil spill response situations.
- Fill Propane Bottles: Occasionally fill propane bottles and verify that the tank is safe to fill using proper safety precautions.
- Learn Computer Systems: Learn and become proficient with computers and the auto delivery system.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
- HAZWOPER Certifications: Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response.
- Valid CDL License: Valid Class A or B CDL License with X endorsement and a CDL Medical Card.
- Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC): Must apply for a TWIC card within 30 days from date of hire at your own personal expense.
- Demonstrated Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge of hazardous material, cleanup of oil spills, and petroleum product specifications.
- Previous Operating Experience: Previous operating work experience in Alaska, including commercial vehicle operation, forklift operation, and the use of small hand tools.
