Position Summary
This role involves the transportation of fuel to various accounts, including residential, commercial, and marine sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient delivery while maintaining equipment and adhering to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport fuel and propane to designated accounts using company vehicles.
- Adhere to safety regulations and procedures during the transportation of petroleum products.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on delivery equipment.
- Ensure all necessary vehicle documentation is up to date.
- Participate in cross-training for various terminal and dock operations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to verify vehicle safety and compliance.
- Obtain necessary signatures and receipts for delivered products.
- Check and verify load documentation for accuracy.
- Position vehicles appropriately for loading and unloading.
- Safely secure cargo using appropriate methods.
- Read and interpret work orders to understand delivery requirements.
- Report any vehicle issues, accidents, or violations promptly.
- Assist customers with inquiries regarding fuel and related products.
- Engage in required training and emergency response drills.
- Participate in oil spill response activities as needed.
- Fill propane tanks while ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Develop proficiency in using computer systems for delivery management.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- HAZWOPER certification is preferred.
- Valid Class A or B CDL License with X endorsement and a current CDL Medical Card.
- Must obtain a TWIC card within the specified timeframe.
- Knowledge of hazardous materials and oil spill response is essential.
- Experience in commercial vehicle operation and related tasks is advantageous.
