Key Responsibilities:
- Contribute to planning, forecasting, and financial reporting for partner businesses
- Perform business case analysis of new programs, deals, feature launches, and acquisition proposals
- Create and manage headcount tracking mechanisms
- Drive improvements to financial reporting views
A Day in the Life:
On a day-to-day basis, the Senior Financial Analyst supports various businesses within Kindle Content - Amazon Publishing, Comixology, Kindle Direct Publishing, and others. The role works with four other Finance team members to provide partner businesses ad hoc deep dives, forecasts, reporting artifacts, and business analysis.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)
- 3+ years of tax, finance, or a related analytical field experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- MBA, or CPA
- Knowledge of Tableau
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
