About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Product Manager to lead the development of our Kindle E-Reader software. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving the software vision and roadmap, developing and evangelizing strategies to grow the space, and building a world-class product management team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the software vision and roadmap for Kindle E-Reader
  • Develop and evangelize strategies to grow the space, including increasing active users and usage
  • Develop and leverage partnerships across organizations to drive growth
  • Co-develop new user experiences and evolve existing E-reader user experiences
  • Serve as a key influencer in developing and auditing business strategy, contributing significantly to the overall Kindle strategy, customer engagement, and analytics, and financial planning
  • Build a world-class product management team
  • Lead cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, research, and science teams, to deliver the right projects on time
About the Team

The Kindle Software Product Management team owns the customer-facing software experiences across all Kindle devices and apps. We believe reading is essential for a healthy society, and our mission is to be the world's favorite place to read, write, and get more out of reading.

Basic Qualifications
  • 6+ years of team management experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience owning and driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience delivering consumer software products and services in a high-growth environment
  • Proven track record of taking ownership and successfully delivering results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to back up assumptions, recommendations, and drive actions
  • Experience with consumer electronics software development
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well with a variety of people, ranging in technical levels
  • Proven track record of working well across organizations and functions, including design and research

Compensation

The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors, including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
