Job Title: Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Sigma Healthcare. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will work closely with licensed occupational therapists to provide high-quality care to patients in facilities.

Job Summary:

The Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the screening and evaluation of patients, providing direct supervision to rehab techs, and enhancing clinical expertise through ongoing education and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the screening and evaluation of patients to optimize their functional abilities and skills
  • Provide direct supervision to rehab techs in tasks during group and individual treatment
  • Enhance clinical expertise through ongoing education and training
  • Maintain valid state license and awareness of issues related to the profession of occupational therapy
  • Understand various relevant payment models related to billing and treatment guidelines
  • Provide quality care and reasonable goals and outcomes within guidelines
  • Comply with infection control procedures and environmental safety protocol
  • Travel between facilities during scheduled hours and work varying hours and shifts
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an ACOTE accredited school of occupational therapy
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office and basic Internet navigation skills
  • Valid Occupational Therapist Assistant state license (where applicable)
  • SNF experience highly preferred, Rehab Optima experience preferred
