Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Maintenance Specialist to join our team at US Foods, Inc. As a Diesel Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet by performing routine maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting on diesel equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance on diesel equipment, including tractors, trailers, and refrigeration units.
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, transmissions, and other mechanical components.
  • Document all repair work and maintain accurate records.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to OSHA regulations and company policies.
  • Assist with road service calls and perform emergency repairs as needed.

Requirements:

  • 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or 2 years with refrigeration certification.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and service guides.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with coworkers and drivers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic software and tools.

Benefits:
