Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to lead our fleet maintenance team at US Foods, Inc.

This role involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining road equipment while ensuring compliance with trucking regulations.

Salary

$32 per hour, plus a $10,000 retention bonus, annual tool allowance, and benefits starting day one.

Job Description

The successful candidate will have 3 years of commercial diesel mechanic experience or equivalent certifications. Responsibilities include:

  • Troubleshooting, diagnosing, rebuilding, replacing, and completing repairs on diesel equipment.
  • Performing preventative maintenance within company standards.
  • Documenting all repair orders, PM lists, and parts accountability.
  • Handling road service calls and performing road rescue/transport equipment as needed.
Required Skills and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, they should be able to comply with EPA and OSHA regulations, read technical manuals, and manage multiple functions simultaneously.
