Position Overview
We are seeking a seasoned Automation Test Manager to take charge of the following responsibilities:

  • Automation Strategy: Develop and implement strategies to enhance automation within the QA and testing processes for AML transaction monitoring.
  • Team Leadership: Oversee multiple testing teams while collaborating with cross-functional units.
  • Risk Analysis: Evaluate intricate systems to determine testing needs and potential risks.
  • Test Suite Development: Design, implement, and sustain automated test suites across various testing levels including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
  • Production Monitoring: Integrate observability into our solutions, monitor production health, address incidents, and resolve root causes of risks and issues.
  • ETL Workflow Testing: Create and execute test cases for ETL workflows, ensuring data integrity and precision.
  • Mentorship: Guide team members in testing methodologies, automation techniques, and DevOps practices.
  • Training: Educate new QA personnel on our testing methodologies and standards.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Contribute to our engineering culture and internal communities by sharing expertise and insights.
  • Product Familiarity: Collaborate with our suite of AML products to support end users effectively.

Required Expertise
The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in the following areas:

ETL Testing:
  • Comprehensive understanding of ETL processes and principles.
  • Experience in testing data extraction, transformation, and loading processes.
  • Proficiency in SQL for data validation and database querying.
  • Capability to design and execute test cases for ETL workflows, ensuring data integrity and accuracy.

DevOps Knowledge:
  • Understanding of DevOps principles, practices, and culture.
  • Familiarity with version control systems like Git and branching strategies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.
  • Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Azure Cloud Platform or similar.

Test Automation Skills:
  • Experience in designing, implementing, and maintaining automated test suites across various testing levels.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python and Java for automation.
  • Ability to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI.
  • Understanding of best practices for test automation, including test data management and maintainability.

Test Management Expertise:
  • Experience with Agile processes and the Scrum framework using tools like Jira or GIT.
  • Strong leadership skills to manage testing teams and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey testing strategies, plans, and results to stakeholders.
  • Ability to mentor team members in testing methodologies, automation, and DevOps practices.
  • Experience in generating test reports, metrics, and defect metrics.
  • Capacity to analyze complex systems and identify testing requirements and risks.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines.

General Qualifications:
  • Experience with industry-standard testing tools and suites.
  • Proficient in SQL, Unix, and Excel.
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and practices, evaluating options for long-term sustainability.
  • Strong communication skills, including technical writing and presentations.
  • Knowledge of Actimize Transaction Monitoring system (SAM) is a significant advantage.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps is also a notable advantage.
