Position Summary

The Automotive Service Technician plays a crucial role in executing vehicle repairs and maintenance tasks as per the directives provided. This position involves ensuring that all work is performed in alignment with dealership and manufacturer standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Receive and review repair orders from the service dispatcher.
  • Execute repairs as detailed in the repair order with precision and in a timely manner.
  • Diagnose issues and perform necessary repairs on vehicles.
  • Coordinate with the parts department to procure required components.
  • Tag and save parts for warranty jobs or customer requests.
  • Inspect vehicles to identify any additional service needs.
  • Communicate with service advisors regarding any unnecessary repairs.
  • Inform service advisors promptly if repairs cannot be completed as scheduled.
  • Document all work completed on vehicles.
  • Conduct road tests on vehicles when necessary.
  • Oversee the work of apprentice technicians as needed.
  • Participate in factory-sponsored training sessions.
  • Stay updated on factory technical bulletins.
  • Maintain cleanliness of customer vehicles during service.
  • Keep the workshop organized and ensure accountability for all tools.
  • Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding hazardous waste disposal.
  • Follow all safety protocols and report any incidents to management.
Qualifications:
  • Exceptional customer satisfaction index (CSI).
  • Completion of ASE or equivalent manufacturer training.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Manual dexterity and sound judgment.
  • Authorization to work in the USA is required.
  • Ability to meet pre-employment testing requirements, including background checks and drug tests.
