Job Summary:

The University of Miami is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Lead to join our Facilities Operations team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the appearance, safety, and functionality of our mechanical spaces. This includes supervising employees, serving as the primary contact for designated vendors, and coordinating the activities of skilled trades and custodial or grounds workers.

Key Responsibilities:

Assign and coordinate the activities of skilled trades and custodial or grounds workers to ensure a productive workforce that supports the assigned facilities' maintenance needs.

Administer and maintain the Facilities Maintenance Program (TMA) and all preventive maintenance procedures throughout your area of responsibility.

Perform preventive maintenance on all equipment in accordance with established procedures and frequencies.

Assist in identifying and resolving equipment problems.

Complete and maintain necessary documentation and reports for compliance.

Work with outside authorities to monitor compliance with regulations pertaining to the organization's facility; when compliance issues are identified, serve as the lead staff member to resolve any issues.

Requirements:

High School diploma or equivalent.

Three years of experience in the routine maintenance and repair of building equipment and systems components utilizing several building trades' skills.

Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form.

Ability to analyze, organize, and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.

Commitment to the University's core values.

Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.

Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
