Job Overview

The Army National Guard requires skilled individuals to maintain and repair sophisticated electronic equipment. As a Special Electronic Devices Repairer, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and functionality of various devices, including night vision equipment, electronic distance and azimuth-orienting devices, and nuclear, biological, and chemical warning and measuring devices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Test and inspect electronic instruments and equipment
  • Read and interpret technical diagrams and manuals
  • Replace and repair parts as needed
  • Ensure quality control measures are in place
  • Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to identify and resolve issues

Requirements

  • Military enlistment in the Army National Guard
  • Must be at least a junior in high school, or have a high school diploma or a GED certificate
  • Must be between the ages of 17 and 35
  • Must be able to pass a physical exam and meet legal and moral standards
  • Must meet citizenship requirements
