Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team in the evaluation of risk mitigation options for new active ingredients and new uses.
  • Drive the development of risk management strategy and provide guidance related to risk management for BASF registration actions.
  • Review new regulatory and risk management policies to determine impacts on BASF active ingredients.
  • Participate on external work groups and/or task forces to influence the direction of new risk management policies.
Requirements
  • Possess a degree in agronomy, chemistry, toxicology, eco-toxicology, or environmental sciences.
  • Possess a BS degree in an appropriate discipline with over 10 years of experience in agricultural chemical registrations.
  • Have in-depth knowledge of agronomy and agricultural practices.
  • Have in-depth understanding of registration processes and procedures and the development processes.
  • Have worked with regulatory teams to register new active ingredients or add new uses.
  • Have proven ability interacting with and influencing regulatory agencies.
  • Have history of presenting regulatory topics or scientific data to various audiences and regulatory agencies.
  • Have knowledge of risk management measures for both human health and environmental risk, including endangered species assessments.
  • Are familiar with the agricultural industry, US and Canadian regulations and policies, and emerging regulatory issues.
  • Have strong project management skills, including the ability to lead without authority.
