Key Responsibilities- Prepare patients for exams by obtaining vital signs and gathering relevant health information.
- Perform laboratory procedures, such as strep tests and wound cultures, using aseptic technique and infection control guidelines.
- Assist physicians and advanced practice clinicians with procedures, such as pelvic exams and allergy testing.
- Administer medications, as ordered, and follow through with necessary procedures and test requests.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other healthcare team members to ensure smooth clinic flow.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained within 45 days of hire.
- High school diploma or equivalent, with completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program or 2 years of experience as a Medical Assistant.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to develop rapport with patients and team members.
- Proficient computer skills, including keyboarding and navigation within electronic medical records systems.
