Medical Assistant Regional Float Position

The Clinical Support Specialist - Regional Float will provide clinical support to patients in various outpatient care settings. This role requires a Medical Assistant with strong communication and organizational skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Take and record vital signs, inform providers of patient vital signs and concerns.
- Recognize and treat emergency patients as a priority, assist with patient examinations and treatments.
- Handle patient situations over the phone, schedule appointments and procedures with medical professionals.
- Register new patients and establish a medical record.
- Prepare patient billings and assist patients with filling out insurance and other forms.
- Collect and process routine laboratory specimens, operate and maintain clinical equipment.
- Maintain aseptic technique, clean and sterilize instruments, and care for supplies and equipment.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program required.
- Previous experience in office or outpatient ambulatory care setting strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work well as a member of a team.
- Computer skills strongly preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
- American Association Medical Assistants (AAMA) certified - CMA designation OR American Medical Technologists (AMT) registered – RMA designation OR Certified Clinical Medical Assistant plus 12 month D-H apprenticeship program – CCMA designation.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Current CPR certification required.
- Currently Registered with the New Hampshire Board of Registration for Medical Technicians.
