Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the preconstruction team to ensure the successful delivery of projects

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in preconstruction, estimating, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience as a manager or director, including successful ongoing management of several direct reports
  • Thorough experience with conceptual, design-build, and structure estimating
  • Proven success in managing preconstruction processes or major, complex projects
  • Thorough knowledge of the industry and different building systems
  • Strong computer skills, including thorough knowledge of Word, Excel, and estimating software
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Strong analytical and logic skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Strong customer service skills needed to build and maintain relationships with end users
  • Advanced knowledge of labor and material costs, ability to read, interpret, and make quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications
  • Exhibits strong leadership and management skills
  • Advanced knowledge of construction procedures
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Effective time management in working with timelines and deadlines
  • The ability to perform a variety of tasks simultaneously and in an accurate and timely manner
