Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Sr Demand Planner to join our Global Demand Planning team in the EMEA Region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to generate a quality demand signal for downstream supply chain processes.
  • Develop and manage statistical forecasts to align end-to-end material flow and prepare for actual customer demand.
  • Lead demand planning consensus efforts with Sales & Marketing and document forecasting assumptions and decisions.
  • Drive collaboration to develop an aligned consensus demand signal with Sales & Marketing leaders.
  • Support management with risk assessment and mitigation activities driven by key demand changes.
  • Participate in SKU rationalization discussions led by Sales & Marketing to guide demand estimates.
  • Contribute to new product planning initial forecast estimates and monitor market response.
  • Manage discontinued items and partner cross-functionally to ensure a smooth, cost-effective phase-out.
  • Understand demand variance impact as it relates to budget and business strategies.
  • Create a continuous improvement culture through peer leadership and working cross-functionally to develop and implement solutions to drive improved business decisions related to demand planning.
Requirements
  • BS in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field of study required.
  • 5+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain, or forecasting role.
  • Fluent in German.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Excellent software skills; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
  • Experience in Microsoft D365 or equivalent ERPs, Power BI or equivalent BI tools, IBM Planning Analytics, SAP, or equivalent demand planning systems preferred.
  • Ability to effectively break down complex data (quantitative and qualitative) into manageable pieces to be used in the forecasting process.
  • Demonstrated proficiency applying demand and inventory management concepts with an understanding of the financial and operational impacts.
  • Ability to collaborate across departments and multiple levels of management.
  • Possess the business acumen and interpersonal skills to build and maintain cross-functional relationships.
  • Ability to identify continuous improvement opportunities.
  • Must understand and embrace the Wahl values and culture.
