Job Summary

As a key member of our operations team at Universal Forest Products, you will play a crucial role in shaping our business strategy and ensuring the most effective operations. This is an opportunity to create your own career path and push your professional limits.

Responsibilities

  • Design metal plate-connected wood trusses utilizing Mitek software to optimize designs for maximum efficiency.
  • Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy to ensure high-quality results.
  • Assist sales and production with design service and troubleshooting to meet customer needs.
  • Perform other duties as required to support the team's goals.

Qualifications

  • Minimum high school graduate or equivalent.
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing roof/floor trusses for single-family projects.
  • Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software are preferred.
  • Working knowledge of floor and roof systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangers.
