Single Family Truss Designer

At Universal Forest Products, we're seeking a skilled Single Family Truss Designer to join our operations team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our business strategy and ensuring the most effective operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Design metal plate-connected wood trusses utilizing Mitek software to optimize efficiency
- Review orders, layouts, and data files for accuracy to ensure high-quality trusses
- Collaborate with sales and production teams to provide design service and troubleshooting
- Perform other duties as required to support the team's success
- Minimum high school graduate or equivalent
- Preferred bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent
- Minimum 5 years of experience in designing roof/floor trusses for single-family projects
- Working knowledge and experience using Mitek software
- Working knowledge of floor and roof systems and the ability to spec out beams and hangars
