POSITION SUMMARY:

The Industrial Cleaning Crew Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the setup, execution, operation, and maintenance of hydro blasting machinery while adhering to EnviroVac's safety protocols and site-specific regulations. This role involves organizing projects and managing a dedicated team comprising Technicians and Operators. The Supervisor will be well-versed in the responsibilities of both Technicians and Operators and will handle project documentation to support billing, payroll, and safety compliance. Building and maintaining customer relationships is also a key aspect of this position.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide direct oversight and coordination for the assigned crew, ensuring effective communication between dispatch and management.
  • Conduct Hazard Recognition Awareness to eliminate workplace hazards.
  • Supervise personnel, equipment, materials, and subcontractors involved in the assigned tasks.
  • Ensure that work is planned and executed according to established schedules, quality standards, budget constraints, and safety goals.
  • Maintain a safe and environmentally compliant worksite in accordance with DOT, EPA, and OSHA regulations.
  • Oversee EnviroVac personnel and subcontractors, providing feedback on performance management.
  • Ensure that all equipment is in optimal working condition and report any deficiencies promptly.
  • Identify and report unsafe or environmentally hazardous conditions as per company policies.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Monitor team morale and foster a positive work environment.
  • Stay informed about current regulations relevant to the industry.
  • Exhibit a proactive problem-solving approach and seek opportunities for additional work.
  • Perform physical labor as required based on client needs and directives from management.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Ability to meet physical demands and perform all tasks associated with the roles of Industrial Cleaning Technician and Operator.
  • Proficient in operating industrial vacuum trucks, high-pressure water blasters, and other essential equipment.

  • Capability to read and interpret business documents, technical procedures, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures without compromising safety.
  • Skilled in performing decontamination processes to prevent cross-contamination between equipment and job sites.
  • Basic mathematical skills for measuring work completed.
  • Competent in assessing the quality and quantity of work performed by team members.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must possess a Class B Commercial Driver's License if medically qualified.
  • Completion of Technician and Operator minimum qualifications is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial cleaning or a related field is preferred.

EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE USED:

  • Large industrial cleaning machinery and materials
  • Heavy-duty industrial vehicles
  • Computers and software applications (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Liquid Frameworks)

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Combination of office and outdoor settings, including exposure to extreme temperatures and noisy conditions.
  • Potential exposure to various weather conditions.

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to organize and manage various office systems through physical adjustments, lifting, and bending.
  • Walking and climbing stairs on client sites during job assessments and service delivery.
  • Lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Frequent overhead lifting of 25 lbs. and occasional lifting of 50 lbs.
  • Capability to climb ladders up to 250 feet in height.
  • Exposure to extreme weather conditions, including sub-freezing temperatures and high heat.
