Webster Bank is seeking a seasoned banking professional to join our team as a Managing Director, Relationship Manager Middle Market Banking. This role is responsible for managing and developing a portfolio of relationships with target segments to drive revenue growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and maintain an extensive network of business contacts, community leaders, and executive management clients to generate revenue.
- Maximize team profitability by maintaining a high-quality loan portfolio and ensuring relationship review and overall relationship profitability.
- Support the Team Leader/Senior Managing Director in growing and retaining relationships for targeted client groups by coordinating and supporting all aspects of the relationship.
- Develop and deliver effective proposals for presentation to existing and potential clients.
- Exercise credit judgment consistent with department goals and monitor and evaluate credit worthiness of clients.
- Lead team interaction with operations and product groups to plan and manage the implementation process of new products with clients.
- Negotiate loans according to established guidelines and ensure compliance with all regulations, policies, and procedures.
- At least 8 years of experience managing banking relationships.
- Candidates with advanced degrees (Associates, Bachelor's, and/or Master's) preferred, but a High School diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to build and expand trusting relationships and partnerships.
- Knowledge of banking regulations, lending policies, procedures, and techniques, as well as a well-demonstrated understanding of loan risk factors.
- Knowledge of credit and financial analysis techniques and accounting is a plus.
- Exceptional business development skills.
The estimated salary range for this position is $175,000 to $200,000. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
