We are in search of a seasoned Financial Operations Manager to become a vital part of our expanding team. The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance and hold a valid CPA certification. This individual will have demonstrated success in a financial leadership role within a private equity-backed organization. We seek a proactive leader who can guide and develop the accounting team, emphasizing continuous improvement and professional growth. This role will involve close collaboration with the CFO on various financial strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate the monthly financial closing process to guarantee timely and precise financial reporting.
- Conduct thorough financial planning and analysis to facilitate strategic decision-making.
- Manage departmental transactions, ensuring accurate recording and reporting.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and regulations, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 805 (Business Combinations), and ASC 842 (Leases).
- Lead projects aimed at integrating ERP systems to enhance financial processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Manage treasury operations, including cash flow oversight, banking relationships, and investment strategies.
- Collaborate with external auditors to ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures.
- Develop and uphold internal controls to protect company assets and maintain the integrity of financial data.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to the accounting team, fostering a culture of ongoing improvement and professional development.
- Assist the CFO with various financial and operational initiatives, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Prepare and present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.
- Support the evaluation and execution of asset-based lending transactions and other financing activities.
- Oversee cost management activities, ensuring accurate allocation of expenses to products and services.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is mandatory.
- Proven experience as a Financial Operations Manager or in a similar capacity within a private equity portfolio company.
- Extensive knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with ASC 606, ASC 805, and ASC 842.
- Strong proficiency in ERP systems and experience with ERP integration initiatives.
- Excellent treasury management capabilities, including cash flow forecasting and investment strategies.
- Experience with cost management and allocation processes.
- Familiarity with asset-based lending transactions is advantageous.
