Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Controls Engineer to join our Capital Engineering team. As a Project Controls Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating, managing, and reporting on the Solventum corporate Engineering Capital Plan.
  • Develop and implement capital project estimating standards and tools for the teams to ensure consistent format and content across all investments.
  • Business administrator for the Company Enterprise Portfolio and Project Management (EPPM) system.
  • Administers the capital project budget planning efforts and timing in conjunction with Finance.
  • Manages the capital project approval process, ensuring all requests have been vetted and approved per the company governance requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher AND 8 years of project estimating and controls experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • High School Diploma/GED AND 12 years of project estimating and controls experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree and 6 years of direct function-related experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
  • Demonstratable business and financial acumen/knowledge in the area of capital project estimating and cost controls.
  • Proven ability to successfully influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to drive decisions across all levels of the organization.

Work Environment

  • Hybrid Eligible (Job duties allow for some remote work but require travel to a Solventum location at least 2 days per week).

Travel

  • May include up to 10% domestic/international.
