Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated full-time Assistant Construction Manager to oversee municipal construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate communication through correspondence, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs).
  • Ensure quality assurance by monitoring construction activities.
  • Collaborate with various stakeholders on-site.
  • Evaluate the progress of contractors.
  • Participate in progress meetings.
  • Compile and prepare daily reports.
  • Coordinate effectively with contractor personnel.
  • Conduct inspections and provide consultation with Construction Manager, Resident Engineer, and Owner.
  • Document inspections and identify deficiencies.
  • Guarantee the completion of necessary documentation.
  • Perform specialized inspections and testing as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) License or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) preferred.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations is essential.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, sit, walk, talk, and hear.
  • Capable of using hands to handle objects.
  • Occasional climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, or crawling may be required.

Work Environment:

  • Work will take place at various job sites, construction trailers, and in the field.
  • May involve working in adverse weather conditions.
  • Strict adherence to safety protocols is mandatory.
