We are seeking a detail-oriented Construction Project Accountant with a strong background in Construction Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for organizing and processing daily accounting activities associated with construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review subcontractor billing for accuracy, including approvals of change orders and schedule of values
  • Manage Preliminary Notices and Releases
  • Review and maintain accurate Project Cost Report, including committed costs, percentages billed to date for project budget, and percentages billed to date for subcontractors
  • Generate and process monthly General Construction G702/703 requisition billing in a timely manner
  • Investigate unbilled project costs
  • Maintain project billing files
  • Daily communication with on-site Project Managers and Supervisors, including invoice review and providing project financial reports
  • Additional assignments upon request of accounting supervisor, including general office duties
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field (Preferred)
  • 1-3 years experience in construction accounting
  • MUST have experience with Sage Contractor (Timberline) software
  • Proficient in Excel
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment, with a high sense of urgency and ownership of work
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and attention to detail
  • Communication, organization, and analytical skills

This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, onsite in our Westlake Village office. No hybrid or remote accommodations are available.
