Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Locomotive Engineer/Conductor to join our team at OmniTRAX. As a key member of our railway operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of trains, freight, and crew.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate trains safely and efficiently, complying with operating rules and train handling policies.
  • Oversee the movement of trains, freight, and crew, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, yardmasters, and other personnel to coordinate train movements and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and Federal Railroad Association rules and regulations.
  • Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trains and equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Collaborate with other team members to achieve company objectives and improve overall railway operations.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of experience in train services or a related field.
  • Aptitude in the transportation field and a desire to learn.
  • Pass post-offer job and health-related examinations, including operating rules examination, vision, and hearing test.
  • Comply with all new and outstanding railroad instructions regarding the operation of the train.
  • Read, comprehend, and comply with published rules, procedures, and manuals, inspection checklists, government regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, memos, and other work-related information.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous experience in rail transportation, supply chain logistics, manufacturing, and/or oil and gas industries.
Work Environment

Exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions caused by the weather, including snow, rain, heat, and sub-freezing temperatures. Loud noise and fumes from gas, oil, and grease may also be present.

Travel

Daily travel as business requires during scheduled work hours.
