Locomotive Engineer/Conductor

The Locomotive Engineer/Conductor is responsible for overseeing the safe and efficient movement of trains, freight, and crew. This role requires strong communication and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate trains safely and efficiently, complying with operating rules and train handling policies.
- Ensure clear communication with dispatchers and track authorities, receiving and relaying instructions as needed.
- Perform routine maintenance and inspections on trains and equipment.
- Assist and instruct train crews on coupling and uncoupling cars, operating switches, and making minor repairs.
- Monitor and report any safety concerns or issues.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of experience in train services.
- Aptitude in the transportation field and a desire to learn.
- Pass post-offer job and health-related examinations, including operating rules examination, vision, and hearing tests.
- Previous experience in rail transportation.
- FRA Conductor Certified.
- FRA Locomotive Engineer Certified (required post-hire).
Exposure to various weather conditions, loud noise, and fumes from gas, oil, and grease. Daily travel as business requires during scheduled work hours.
