Job Summary

The Corvallis Police Department is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as Police Officers. As a Police Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining law and order, preventing crime, and providing excellent customer service to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol assigned areas to prevent and detect crime
  • Respond to emergency calls and provide assistance as needed
  • Investigate crimes and gather evidence
  • Make arrests and issue citations as necessary
  • Provide community policing services and engage with the public
  • Participate in training and professional development to stay up-to-date on best practices and procedures
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Basic DPSST Certificate required within 18 months of employment
  • Valid Oregon driver's license and driving record that meets the standards set by the City of Corvallis
  • Ability to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Ability to pass a comprehensive background investigation and obtain an Oregon State Police Criminal Justice Information Systems clearance
