Position Overview:
The Front Desk and Guest Services play a crucial role at the Westin Woodlands, serving as a primary point of contact for guests. This position is integral to the 'Arrival' experience, which is one of our key differentiators in the hospitality industry. The Front Office provides continuous interaction with guests, offering a diverse range of operational exposure within the hotel environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Address guest inquiries and needs, including registration, checkout, and financial transactions.
- Welcome and greet guests upon their arrival.
- Input guest information into the system, confirming reservations, contact details, and payment methods.
- Advocate for the Bonvoy Loyalty Program, ensuring members receive appropriate recognition and benefits.
- Collaborate amicably with colleagues, setting a positive example in the workplace.
- Deliver exceptional service to all hotel guests.
- Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene standards.
- Keep the work area clean, organized, and orderly.
- Familiarize oneself with and adhere to all policies and procedures outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Execute the hotel's safety and emergency protocols, including identifying and addressing safety hazards and adhering to OSHA guidelines.
- Report any unsafe conditions to the Supervisor without delay.
- Promptly inform the Supervisor of any accidents, injuries, or property damage.
- Communicate any work-related issues or guest complaints to management immediately.
- Promote the hotel’s reputation through courtesy, goodwill, and a positive demeanor.
- Participate in all scheduled training sessions and meetings.
- Commit to ongoing personal and professional development.
- Complete any reasonable tasks as assigned by management.
- Ensure a safe working environment by following all safety and security protocols.
- Assist individuals with disabilities as needed.
- Comply with all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations applicable to the hotel, guests, and employees.
- Be prepared to work flexible hours to meet the operational needs of the hotel.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in Guest Services is preferred.
- Experience in a Marriott or similar full-service hotel is advantageous.
