Job Overview

TransportUS is a premier medical transport company seeking a skilled and compassionate Ambulance Transport Professional to join our team.

As an essential member of our crew, you will be responsible for providing safe and reliable transportation services to patients in need. This role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct pre-inspection checks on all vehicles before each use
  • Tie down wheelchairs and other devices securely during transport
  • Navigate safely through various locations using GPS
  • Communicate effectively with clients, dispatchers, and supervisors regarding concerns or issues

Benefits:

  • A competitive hourly rate of $18.00
  • A comprehensive benefits package including vacation, sick, holiday pay, medical, dental, and retirement plan
  • A Health and Welfare allowance of $4.57 per hour up to 40 hours per week ($182.50 per week or $792.13 per month)
  • A referral bonus of $200 for full-time employees and $100 for part-time employees after three months of service

Requirements:

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Valid CPR/First Aid card preferred but not required
  • Valid California driver's license (Class C) with at least five years of driving experience
  • No more than one moving violation or at-fault accident in the last three years

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Capacity to assist clients transferring from wheelchair to chair and vice versa

Work Schedule:

  • Varying shifts Monday-Friday with occasional Saturdays and Sundays
  • Flexibility to work extra hours and weekends as needed

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to pass a physical exam
  • Lifting capacity of up to 100 LBS and pushing/pulling capacity of up to 200 LBS
  • Mobility to bend, pivot, and move between standing and kneeling positions
