Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders to design solutions for customers, drive AWS adoption, and revenue growth.
  • Be an AWS evangelist, educating customers of all sizes on the value proposition of AWS.
  • Establish credibility and build deep relationships with senior technical individuals within customers to enable them to be cloud advocates.
  • Participate in deep architectural discussions to build confidence and ensure customer success when building new and migrating existing applications, software, and services on the AWS platform.
  • Conduct deep-dive hands-on education/training sessions to transfer knowledge to customers considering or already using AWS.
  • Capture and share best-practice knowledge amongst the AWS SA community.
  • Technical liaison between customers, service engineering, and support teams.
  • Study existing technology landscape and understand current application workloads.
  • Define migration strategy to move applications to the cloud.
  • Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation, including in-depth knowledge of migration tools and AWS commonly used services (EC2, S3, etc.).
  • Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environment, including server instances, storage instances, subnets, availability zones, etc.
  • Design the AWS network architecture, including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets.
  • Design high availability (HA) and disaster recovery (DR) strategies.
  • Set up processes, services, and tools around cloud.
  • Oversee the build of the environment.
  • Execute migration plans.
  • Leverage appropriate AWS services.
  • Validate the environment to meet all security and compliance controls.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of software development experience, particularly within the healthcare industry.
  • Experience with software/technology in a customer-facing role.
  • Experience with on-premise to cloud migrations or IT transformations.
  • Experience architecting/operating solutions built on AWS.
  • Presentation skills with a high degree of comfort speaking with executives, IT management, and developers.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to right-level conversations.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
  • Minimum of 3 years of AWS experience in solution design and implementation.
  • Advanced knowledge of AWS services, including:
    • Management - CloudWatch (Events/Logs), IAM, CloudTrail, EC2 Systems Manager.
    • IaaS - EC2, VPC, ECS, EKS, OpenShift, Direct Connect, EBS, ELB, KMS, Config, SNS, SQS, SES, SWF, S3, Glacier.
    • Data Management - Redshift, RDS, EMR, Data Pipeline, Kinesis, DynamoDB, In-Memory Data Store.
    • Security - IAM, Active Directory (any LDAP solution), Key Management, Encryption, RBAC.
    • Other - Server Migration, Storage Gateway.
  • AWS Associate Level Certification preferred (Professional desired).
  • Experience with programming (e.g., Python, Java) and exposure to infrastructure automation (Ansible/Terraform).
  • Experience developing, deploying, testing in AWS architecture.
  • Proficiency and experience with AWS developer tools and workflows (AWS CLI, CloudFormation, etc.).
