Sage Specialty Hospital (LTAC) is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our team in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) setting. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide general respiratory therapeutic services, including oxygen, medical gas, humidification, and suction therapies.
  • Document patient/resident procedures, organize and analyze data, maintain accurate records.
  • Communicate relevant patient/resident information to appropriate physicians and caregivers.
  • Provide staff education related to respiratory therapy.
  • Exhibit commitment to results by looking for and recommending/implementing process improvements.
  • Monitor patient/resident progress and update respiratory care plan as needed.

Requirements:

  • Credentialed by the National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) and be a graduate of an approved AMA school of Respiratory Therapy.
  • Must be knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
  • Must be able to work flexible schedules, including 12-hour shifts.
  • Patient care oriented.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Positive attitude.
